The Milwaukee Bucks have their first tough west coast trip beginning on Friday. It’s only a two game trip, but it will be a very difficult one. The Bucks are headed to the lone star state to take on Houston and San Antonio.
First the Bucks face off with the Rockets on Friday who are off to a 4-1 start. The Rockets are led by Tracy McGrady and the big man from China, Yao Ming. What makes this a must see game is that it will be the first meeting between Yao Ming
and Yi Jialian. This game will be closely watched by millions of people from China. It will give Jinlian an opportunity to see how he stacks up against the dominant Ming. If, the Bucks are going to win this game it will be in large part of how Andrew Bogut, Charlie Villanueva and Dan Gadzuric contain Ming. The Bucks must also stop the high scoring McGrady if they want any chance to pull off a win.
After the stop in Houston things get even harder as the Bucks enter the home of the defending champion Spurs this Sunday. The Spurs have pretty much everybody back so you know your in for a 48 minute battle. Once again it will come down to how the Bucks frontcourt can contain the great Tim Duncan. They must also stay on three-point bomber Manu Ginobili if they want to win. The other secret weapon to this team is Tony Parker who is a great slasher and shooter. The Bucks must stop him from penetrating if they want to get the win.
If the Bucks can win at least one of these two games it will be a successful road trip. The Bucks game is at 7:30 p.m on Friday and at 7 p.m. on Sunday night and both games can be seen on FSN Wisconsin.
